Privacy Policy — ARTËMER

At ARTËMER, your trust matters to us as much as the quality of every piece we make. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit artemerstudio.com, how we use it, and what choices you have. We encourage you to read it fully — and if you have questions, please reach out.

01

Who We Are

This website is operated by Artëmer Studio ("ARTËMER," "we," "us," or "our"). We design and sell fine jewelry, including engagement rings, wedding bands, and custom pieces, through our online store at artemerstudio.com.

For any privacy-related questions or requests, you can reach us at: info@artemerstudio.com

Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you give us directly, information collected automatically when you visit our site, and information from third-party services.

Information You Provide

  • Contact and account details — name, email address, phone number, and shipping/billing address when you place an order or create an account.
  • Purchase information — payment card details (processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers), order history, and product preferences.
  • Communications — messages you send us through contact forms, email, or customer service channels.
  • Marketing sign-ups — email address and preferences when you subscribe to our newsletter or promotional emails.
  • Custom order details — any design preferences, gemstone specifications, or personal notes you share when requesting a custom piece.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and browser data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, and referring URL.
  • Usage data — pages visited, time spent on pages, links clicked, and navigation paths through our site.
  • Cookie and tracking data — information collected via cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (detailed in Section 4 below).

Information from Third Parties

  • Analytics and advertising partners (Google, Meta, Pinterest) may share aggregated or pseudonymous data about how users interact with our ads or arrive at our site.
  • Our email marketing provider (Mailchimp) shares data about email engagement, such as open and click rates.
03

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfill your orders, including sending order confirmations, shipping updates, and receipts.
  • Respond to your questions, support requests, and custom design inquiries.
  • Send marketing emails and newsletters — only if you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time.
  • Improve our website experience by understanding how visitors navigate and interact with our content.
  • Deliver relevant advertising on third-party platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized activity, and abuse.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

04

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device that helps us recognize you and remember your preferences. Pixels are tiny invisible images embedded in pages or emails that report back to a server when loaded.

Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential cookies — Required for the site to function (e.g., your shopping cart, login session). These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies — Help us understand site usage and traffic patterns.
  • Marketing & advertising cookies — Used to show you relevant ads across other platforms and measure campaign performance.
  • Functional cookies — Remember your preferences to enhance your experience.

Third-Party Tools We Use

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through your settings. You can set your browser to refuse all cookies, accept only certain cookies, or notify you when a cookie is being sent. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our website.

You may also opt out of interest-based advertising generally through the Network Advertising Initiative or the Digital Advertising Alliance.

Note: We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signals, as no uniform standard for how these signals should be interpreted has been adopted.

05

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your data only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers — We work with trusted third-party companies that help us operate our business, including Shopify (e-commerce platform), payment processors, shipping carriers, and the analytics and marketing tools listed above. These parties are only permitted to use your data as necessary to provide services to us.
  • Legal requirements — We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership and your choices regarding your information.
  • With your consent — We may share information in other ways if you have given us explicit permission to do so.
06

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and to comply with our legal obligations:

  • Order information is retained for a minimum of 7 years for accounting, tax, and legal compliance purposes.

When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it securely.

09
